But he could not understand why so many Rangers and Mages were not attacking that spot. An Infernal's knee joint consisted of two massive stones fitted tightly together, with only a narrow gap between them, out of which green Fel Fire surged.
Perhaps the Mages' spells could not penetrate such a narrow gap, but the Rangers' Arcane Shots should have been able to. He felt certain that his own Arcane Shot would blast the legs off those two Infernals if he fired it into the gap, but doing so would waste a great deal of mana.
To test his theory, Yu Lin Bloodhawk nocked an arrow and drew his bow, rapidly firing three arrows in succession using only normal attacks. All three pierced the narrow gap between the stones and lodged in the badly cracked knee joint of one Infernal.
Amid the dazzling light of the Mages' and Rangers' Arcane Magic attacks, the three arrows embedded in a straight line in the gap of the Infernal's knee joint were barely noticeable.
The Elves' Temporary Combat Commander gave Yu Lin Bloodhawk a puzzled look.
Doesn't the commander know normal attacks barely affect Infernals? he wondered. He was just about to offer a friendly reminder when Yu Lin Bloodhawk pointed at the Infernal whose knee he had pierced with his arrows and said, "Have everyone stop attacking that Infernal for a moment. Let's see what happens!"
The Elves' Temporary Combat Commander had no idea what Yu Lin Bloodhawk intended, but immediately ordered the Elves to stop attacking that Infernal.
The Elves stopped attacking and looked toward their Temporary Combat Commander in confusion. The commander, in turn, looked at Yu Lin Bloodhawk, who kept his eyes fixed on the Infernal's legs, silently repeating, Move! Take a step!
The Infernal did not disappoint Yu
