Lireesa Windrunner happened to be home.
"Alleria?" Lireesa Windrunner was clearly surprised that Alleria had come to see her at this hour.
"Mother," Alleria said.
"Has something happened?" Lireesa Windrunner asked.
She had read some of the reports coming from the Zul'Aman front recently and knew that the Orcs Forces had appeared in territory controlled by Zul'Aman. But even the troops at the front did not know exactly how many orcs there were, so she was still waiting for further news. With Alleria arriving now, Lireesa Windrunner thought something serious had happened.
"Nothing has happened." Alleria shook her head.
"Then what brings you here now? Surely you didn't come at a time like this just to see me!" Lireesa Windrunner said with a smile.
"Mother, take a look at this piece of metal first." Alleria unwrapped the Dragon Soul Moonblade fragment she had carried on her back in linen cloth and placed it on the table before Lireesa Windrunner.
Lireesa Windrunner glanced at the metal on the table, but naturally, such a quick look revealed nothing unusual. She asked, "A piece of metal? Is there something special about it?"
"Mother, please try channeling some magic power into it," Alleria said.
"A metal with an affinity for magic power?" Lireesa Windrunner asked as she channeled magic power into the Dragon Soul Moonblade fragment.
"Oh?" Lireesa Windrunner let out a startled sound, then increased the flow of magic power. Yet the Dragon Soul Moonblade fragment was like a dried-out sponge. No matter how much magic power she poured into it, it absorbed every last bit.
"This metal has an extraordinary affinity for magic power," Lireesa Windrunner said in astonishment. "What metal is it?"
Alleria shook her head to show that she did not know, but what she said next surprised Lireesa Windrunner
