Today, because Yu Lin Bloodhawk was visiting Mez'dra's home, Mez'dra's uncle had thrown open the doors and let them all drink their fill out of gratitude for Yu Lin Bloodhawk's help to the Wildhammer Dwarves. Otherwise, even Mez'dra would not have gotten a drink.
So even after Mez'dra's uncle went home, Mez'dra and the handful of formidable drinkers among his subordinates showed no intention of stopping. Nor did Yu Lin Bloodhawk's Gryphon Rider Bodyguards.
Hair of the dog! Hair of the dog! Once they had drunk just enough to take the edge off their hangovers, the smell of alcohol no longer seemed nauseating or unpleasant. Instead, it excited them. If someone then urged them to drink or challenged them to a drinking contest, these drunkards would find it very hard to stop.
Yu Lin Bloodhawk was hardly a drunkard, nor did he have any particular craving for alcohol. He simply enjoyed a few drinks now and then. He had originally intended to stop after a little, but Mez'dra and the others refused to put down their cups, so he decided to join them and drink his fill.
Nothing was going to get done today anyway. He had planned to have a little hair of the dog, then take Mez'dra's subordinates and his own Gryphon Rider Bodyguards to scout the Orcs' exact military strength in the Durnholde region. He had not expected Mez'dra's uncle to turn up again, setting off another round of drinking.
Yu Lin Bloodhawk did not dare fly drunk, nor did he share Mez'dra's brazen enthusiasm for it. Azeroth might not have traffic police checking for drunk flying, but Yu Lin Bloodhawk still valued his life. Even after today's gathering broke up, he would not dare send this bunch of drunkards out scouting.
He would rather go tomorrow.
