Of all the matters on the Seaside Plain, Yu Lin Bloodhawk was most concerned about the Giant Bloodfang Boar crossbreeding farm. He reckoned that once the war within Quel'Thalas ended, the kingdom's ranger forces would undergo a sweeping replacement of their battle pets.
After reading the documents, Yu Lin Bloodhawk felt reassured. For now, at least, the Giant Bloodfang Boar crossbreeding farm was progressing smoothly. All the animals kept there were purebred Giant Bloodfang Boars reserved for breeding, while the common sows had already been distributed among the villages for the human villagers to raise.
The staff at the Giant Bloodfang Boar breeding farm only needed to bring frozen semen from the Giant Bloodfang Boars over for artificial insemination when the common sows went into heat.
Yu Lin Bloodhawk checked the current stock of crossbred piglets and did some mental calculations. He felt there should be enough to meet the needs of Quel'Thalas's ranger forces after the war.
Another thing that particularly pleased Yu Lin Bloodhawk was that pedigrees had been established for the Giant Bloodfang Boars. The mages, with their considerable enthusiasm for research and adventure, had also begun experimenting with various potions and spells on piglets still in the embryonic stage.
Although they had conducted many different kinds of experiments, most had either failed or had yet to produce definitive results. Only two findings had been confirmed. One was that adding Minor Life Potion diluted a hundredfold to the semen greatly increased the likelihood of successful conception, while also increasing the chances of twins and other multiples.
Although Bloodfang Boars gave birth to eight to ten piglets per litter, many of those piglets were not actually twins. Twins developed when two sperm entered the same egg.
Those research mages, with their bizarre minds, had a rather bold idea.
