For a time, the Orc Wolf Riders were carried every which way by their terrified mounts. Some Worgs were even killed outright by the massive barrage of Explosive Bombs dropped by the Gryphon Riders, sending their riders crashing to the ground.
Yet the orcs' disaster did not end there. Barely a few breaths after the explosions faded, while the Orc Wolf Riders were still reeling in shock, countless High Elf arrows shot silently out of the woods on either side of the road.
The High Elves all used Normal Shot for this volley, and every one of them targeted the frightened, panicking Worgs.
These arrows, coated in deadly poison, had some difficulty dealing with orc riders clad in full plate armor, but taking down Worgs with no armor to protect them was easy enough.
The Orc Wolf Riders already had their hands full trying to control their terrified Worgs. How could they spare any attention for the Normal Shots the High Elves fired silently from the woods amid the chaos?
Even the few Orc Wolf Riders who noticed the arrows coming from the woods could not accurately block the swiftly approaching poisoned shafts for their Worgs while riding mounts that were leaping about in panic.
Thus, the ranks of the Orc Wolf Riders filled with the howls and frightened cries of Worgs and the riders' angry shouts, descending into utter chaos.
"Enemies in the woods!" someone among the Orc Wolf Riders finally shouted.
Amid all this confusion, the three Voidwalker demons and five orc Death Knights who had been at the very front of the column were now the safest and least troubled of all. Aside from the brief commotion caused when one Voidwalker was blown apart earlier, they had suffered nothing, because the High Elves were not attacking them
