But the people who actually collected it were never Yu Lin Bloodhawk, Jia De Diwa, or any of their companions. Though Vereesa had her suspicions, she could find no evidence.
On several occasions when Lirath Windrunner took the Iceclaw Bear out, Vereesa secretly pretended to be passing by Yu Lin Bloodhawk's Lakeside Treehouse. She wanted to see whether he and his gang were behind it.
Yu Lin Bloodhawk, Jia De Diwa, and the others naturally knew exactly what Vereesa was thinking. So every day, they deliberately set out the crystal tea set beside the lake outside Yu Lin Bloodhawk's Treehouse, sipping Yu Lin Bloodhawk-brand Peacebloom Tea while fishing as though nothing were amiss.
Vereesa's investigations naturally failed to produce the results she wanted, leaving her unable to understand why her pet Iceclaw Bear kept suffering intermittent bouts of lethargy. Later, she simply followed Lirath Windrunner in secret several times, hoping to see exactly what he was doing with the Iceclaw Bear.
Of course, Vereesa's actions could not escape Yu Lin Bloodhawk and the old men around Jia De Diwa. Whenever they discovered her following Lirath Windrunner, they canceled that day's operation, and Yu Lin Bloodhawk had Lirath Windrunner take the Iceclaw Bear wandering wherever he pleased instead.
Unable to discover the cause of her pet's intermittent lethargy, Vereesa began to suspect that her Iceclaw Bear was ill. Out of concern for her pet, she began limiting how often Lirath Windrunner could take the Iceclaw Bear out to play.
None of Yu Lin Bloodhawk, Jia De Diwa, or the others cared about Vereesa limiting how often Lirath Windrunner could bring the Iceclaw Bear out. To safeguard the Iceclaw Bear's health, they could only collect essence once every three days anyway, and even once every four or five days was no problem.
