The White Dragon Plane lay beneath the freshly washed light of the sky.
Mu Chen stood in midair, his black robes stirring gently in the fading afterglow of the five-colored tribulation light.
His gaze swept over the ravaged land below, now free of evil energy. The humans who had survived by sheer luck stared blankly up at the heavens, the light rekindled in their eyes faint but real.
Too many emotions mingled in the White Dragon Supreme's laughter. It took him some time to regain his composure, and his spiritual apparition had grown a little fainter.
With a casual gesture, Mu Chen sent him to his own blood descendants. Then he stepped forward, appearing at a point along the barrier at the plane's edge.
Years of erosion by evil energy had left the spatial structure here terribly fragile, riddled with fine cracks like shattered glass barely glued back together.
Mu Chen raised his hand and lightly touched the barrier with one finger.
Hum-
Ripples spread across the barrier beneath his fingertip, and tiny spatial fissures unfurled before his eyes.
Most of these fissures led into the void or had been thoroughly corroded by evil energy. Only one gave off an aura more ancient and sinister than that of the Blood Evil Clan he had just exterminated!
That aura clung like maggots to bone. Even across an endless expanse of space, it stirred disgust in Mu Chen.
There had to be a reason the Blood Evil Clan could descend upon a lower plane of the Great Thousand World.
"So there really is a passage!"
Mu Chen narrowed his eyes, his gaze piercing the fissure to examine its dark far end.
It was a domain utterly unlike the Great Thousand World. The sun and moon were dim, the daylight gray and hazy.
