There were people standing under the ceremony tent, but no one said anything.
The shed pillars were newly erected, the knots at the bases were still white, and the smell of wood was still there.
The wooden frame was then brought in and placed in front of the box.
There are grids on the shelf, and the grids correspond to the books, one grid and one column.
Two bearers lifted the return box onto the wooden frame. There were wooden wedges at the feet of the box, which were firmly stepped on every step.
The box is covered with a cover, and the cover is stamped with a seal.
The seal is red, the boxes are dark wood, and they are lined up next to each other.
The printing box was placed on the wooden support beside the box, untouched.
The wooden support is newly made, and there are still scratches on the four corners.
Mikoto stands beside the box and waits for the box to stabilize.
The box was placed firmly, and she raised her hand.
That's how the ceremony started.
Mikoto took half a step back and stood on the side of the box.
The crowd stood apart according to their clans, with each generation lining up at the back.
Open the book to the person who is named, stand in front of the box, and read down the boxes one by one.
Recite the pattern, not the name.
The pages of the album are pressed flat and turned slowly.
Whichever box is read, someone from that family will come forward and take that box away.
Gretchen lined up all the way from the front of the box, with white papers and black columns, and they were lined up very neatly.
There was a guide standing at each end of Gel, who only asked people to come forward without saying much.
The speaker's voice was not loud and could be heard clearly in the corner of the shed.
The queue in the shed is shorter than the others, and there are more than one family standing behind some stalls.
Kiyoshi stood in front of the box to be answered. The paper in his cuffs was held down through the cloth. The paper was pressed against his forearm, with the letters facing inward.
The eyes fall on the box first.
He didn't look at Glen's side.
Recite a cell to the named person, and lead the person back out.
The person who takes the person back stands still, checks the book for the person with the name, and gives up the space.
Those with cores are faster, those with cores are slower, read the sound and wait until everyone is right before going down.
The things I brought back were wrapped in cloth and held in my arms. They were not opened on the spot.
There are knives and boxes for wearing, and the wrapping cloth is all the same coarse cloth.
The cloth bags come in big or small sizes, and they are all stable to hold.
Some cloth bags pressed against the hands, and the person holding them changed hands.
The leader of one family was still a half-grown child. He took the cloth bag, put his chin on the corner of the bag, and stepped back into the line step by step. No one took it for him.
One takes the lead, and the next follows.
Those who went back did not walk quickly, and there was no one at the end of the line to rush them.
When the cloth bag came out of the shed, people from each family on the way took it, held it firmly, and went all the way home.
The shed was quiet except for the sound of album pages.
The wooden wedges on the box's legs slipped.
The mouth of the box is crooked.
Kiyoshi raised his hand and pressed back on that corner. The blow was sharp and heavy. It was like a punch in front of everyone in the shed. The legs of the box returned to their positions. The cover jumped half a square. The hands of the two bearers were shaken loose. The whole shed didn't know where to put their eyes.
He retracted his hand and changed its direction halfway, holding on to the edge of the box.
The wooden edge pressed out a white mark in the palm of his hand.
The bearers looked at each other, put their hands back on the trunk, and then walked down.
There is a mark of half a palm on the box side.
Kakashi stood facing the opening of the box and raised his hand to close the opened lid.
The grid cover fell back into the trough with a very soft sound, and the shed became even quieter after it settled.
Close it and return to the original position.
Hinata followed the leader, holding the cloth bag, lowering his head, and returned to the back of the queue.
The team moved aside one position and closed again.
As she stepped back, her eyes paused on the box.
After that moment, Kiyoshi glanced at the grid entrance again.
The grids are arranged in rows, one grid next to the other.
There is a box, which is empty.
The column on the cover is white, and the corresponding space on the box is also empty.
There are words at the head of the column. There is a seal on the top of the words and a white bottom.
The people receiving the goods in the next few squares were all standing, but there was no one in front of that square.
In the team leading back, some people looked towards that square and then looked away.
When the speaker read that line, he jumped over and his voice didn't stop.
When I jumped over, I tapped the pen on the edge of the book.
The pen hung for half a breath before returning to the book.
According to the procedure, that square was left in place until the family came to claim it. No one occupied the land in front of the square.
The procedures in the shed continued as usual.
The number of people taking them back became less and less, and the queue in the shed thinned out. There were still less than half of the boxes on the shelf, and the empty box was still hanging in the same place.
There was an old man in the team. He took the cloth bag, held it firmly, and slowly exited. Before going out, he tilted his head towards the other end of the box.
Li stood at the edge of the crowd, with his heels together and his hands on the seam of his trousers.
Kiyoshi's gaze stopped on that grid for half a breath, and no one moved at either end of the grid.
The paper in his sleeves wrinkled even more when he pressed it.
In the half breath he took to speak, he swallowed his words back.
He didn't raise his eyes.
The speaker has already read the last word.
The chanting sound was as even as before.
There was no one standing on the land in front of that square until the sound of chanting passed.
The light on the roof of the ceremony shed moved one space.
Still under this shed.
The turn was moved back to the Shikamaru space, and the pen was handed to his hand.
The pen tip hangs on the grid.
Shikamaru pushed that square back.
The pen was placed back to the edge of the book, with the ink not touching the paper and the pen tip facing down.
The speaker glanced at him, did not pick up the line, and continued reading.
The square Shikamaru is a few steps away from Kiyoshi.
"Don't write?"
Shikamaru Put your hands into your cuffs.
"Don't write."
Kiyoshi looked away from that grid.
"To whom."
"Whoever is in a hurry will return."
After saying that, Shikamaru took half a step to the side, with his shoulders slumped, and stood back in the team. No one in the team looked at him.
That square was empty in the grid, no one stopped me, and the person who faced the challenge never looked back.
On the shelf, there is a square mark that is lighter than elsewhere.
Kakashi glanced at the previous frame and said nothing.
There were others in the leading position, all looking at their own square.
Someone in the crowd took a half step forward and then stepped back.
Kiyoshi also pushed his cell forward half an inch.
Halfway through the push, the hand stopped.
The hand was withdrawn, the grid remained in place, and the pen rested on the edge of the shelf, no one moved it again.
The name in that box has long been missed.
There is a table next to the pick-up procedure.
The covers are spread out on the table, each column has its own row.
There is a column for corrections.
That column is one line narrower than the other columns.
The bottom of that column is still white, with no paper pressed down on it.
No one was guarding the table, and the book was spread out.
Kiyoshi walked towards the table, not walking fast, and the hand on the cuff never let go.
The pen was resting beside the book, the nib was dry.
The ground ink is in the box, with a layer of skin on the surface.
Pull the paper out of the cuff and fold it twice. When it is flattened, the edges are Kakuzu soft.
The paper was handed over and landed on the column where corrections were written. It didn't bounce and no one came to collect it right away.
"This one, go to the correction column."
Mikoto took the paper, turned it to that column, and flattened it.
Her hand paused for a moment on the edge of the paper, straightening the corners.
"If you fall into this column, someone will come back to you."
The paper left the hand, but the ceremony did not stop. The speaker's voice went down the box, but the box remained in place, and the cover column was still white. The people who took it back passed by the box one after another, and no one took a second look at that box. The procedure table became quiet, pressing the correction column of the new paper, and the corner of the paper was beyond the edge of the column.
When the ceremony was about to end, a man came in from the entrance of the shed.
No title, no registration.
Several people in the shed followed him and then looked away.
The man came in all the way from outside the shed. He walked slowly and didn't look at anyone. No one stopped him at the entrance of the shed. He kept his hands folded. When he reached the table, he stretched out his hands and put the piece of paper on the table.
"I'll take this piece of paper."
Mikoto raised his eyes but did not reach out.
My fingers pressed on the pages of the album without turning.
The chanting stopped for a moment, and then continued.
Kakashi is still in the leading position, standing and not moving.
Put your hands back into your sleeves and stand in the same posture as before.
Kiyoshi raised his hand halfway.
"That piece of paper."
The second half of the sentence didn't come out, and no one in the shed answered his words.
For the first time, the paper was not in his hand.
The paper followed the man out of the shed, and he couldn't see where he was going.
The footprints on the road were swept away by the wind so that the depth could not be seen.
The wind from the shed entrance blew in and lifted half of the cover.
The cover fell back down, covering the lifted half.
The whole shed was still in place and the ceremony was over.
The hand still stopped in mid-air.
