Jiraiya fought Pain’s Six Paths and used his knowledge of their abilities to defeat five of them. He faced Deva Path Pain alone, preparing for the strongest opponent’s full power.

• Jiraiya entered Sage Mode and struck Naraka Path Pain with a Super Great Ball Rasengan, then used an Earth Clone to draw Asura Path Pain into a counterattack with Frog Kumite.
