"He's talking nonsense!" The Water Kingdom Prince barely managed to wait until the Mountain Kingdom Prince finished speaking before he sprang to his feet in fury. He loudly protested, "The Princess was never engaged! We met at a ball and fell in love at first sight. She even gave me her feather fan as a token of her love."
"Where's the feather fan?" the Cloaked Man asked, looking the Prince of the Water Country up and down.
Every prince had been searched while unconscious. If the Water Kingdom Prince had been carrying a feather fan, they would have found it long ago.
The Water Kingdom Prince patted himself down, seemingly only then realizing that he had no feather fan on him.
After struggling to recall what had happened, he said, "I must have left it where I passed out!"
"Impossible," the Crew-Cut Man immediately countered. "We searched the place where you passed out. If there had been a feather fan, we would definitely remember it."
With that, he looked at the other players.
Although none of them spoke, they all nodded in agreement with him.
They certainly would not have paid much attention to a feather fan whose special significance they had yet to learn, but if such a fan had actually been there, they could not have forgotten it completely.
After all, the Water Kingdom Prince had been unconscious in the stables.
