"No matter what, at least we're safe for now." Cloaked Man strode toward the exit. "Let's find the real Prince as soon as we can during the day and avoid going out at night."
No one objected, and everyone followed Cloaked Man outside.
To keep the Princess safe, they surrounded Cloaked Man, with Zhao Xun leading the way, Cowboy and Crew-Cut Man bringing up the rear, and Twin-Tails and Slightly Plump Woman on either side.
Outside, everything was clean and quiet.
Apart from the little dust they stirred up as they walked and the scattered vines that had wound their way inside, nothing was different from yesterday.
They began searching again, room by room.
Unlike yesterday, they felt around every object in each room, checking whether any of them might be a mechanism that opened a secret chamber.
Using this method, they did find several more small secret chambers.
But none contained anyone. Some held treasures, others held deeds and contracts, and still others housed collections of books and oil paintings unsuitable for children.
The sun outside gradually sank toward the west, and the sky began to dim again. Crew-Cut Man and Slightly Plump Woman were growing anxious.
"What are we going to do?" Slightly Plump Woman asked worriedly. "We still haven't found the real Prince... I don't dare go out again tonight."
Searching each room for mechanisms today took even longer than yesterday. They had to feel around every corner and every object, spending an almost unimaginable amount of time and energy.
Even though they had done everything they could, barely resting except to eat, they had only finished searching four-fifths of the castle.
Although there weren't many rooms left, they had even less time remaining-at most, enough to finish searching the room they were in.
If they still
