The little girl had been rather afraid of Wang Biao, but his words gave her courage again.
"I want to find Mommy and Daddy!" She took Wang Biao's hand and followed him closely out of the restroom.
When the three of them reached the KTV reception desk, the receptionist looked up, then greeted them with a smile. "Take care. We hope to see you again."
Seeing that the receptionist had no intention of interfering, Wang Biao breathed a sigh of relief.
Apparently, the NPCs here were programmed to do only their own jobs.
No wonder none of the staff had checked on the little girl crying in the restroom.
He led the little girl briskly toward the cinema.
When they reached the cinema entrance, the girl grew excited. "It was here! This is where I got separated from Mommy and Daddy!"
Wang Biao grew excited too. "So it really was here."
He looked down at the little girl and asked, "Do you remember exactly where you got separated?"
As he spoke, he led her inside.
When they reached the waiting area, the girl pointed at one of the seats. "Here."
Only then did Wang Biao remember to look around for surveillance cameras.
He exclaimed in surprise, "There isn't a single camera here! How are we supposed to find her parents?"
"Let's ask the staff first." Zhao Xun walked over to the ticket counter.
"Hello, I'd like to ask something," he said politely to the ticket clerk. "Was there a couple arguing here earlier?"
The clerk looked up at Zhao Xun, her expression turning thoughtful. "I think so. About an hour ago, a young couple was arguing. They went on for quite a while."
"Do you know where they went?" Zhao Xun asked.
"That, I don't know." The clerk waved a
