But they weren't familiar with the route, and they had a little girl with them without a proper child seat, so they could only ride slowly.

Luckily, they hadn't run into any traffic police on the way. Otherwise, he definitely would have been stopped and fined.
"Hey, A Shui, have you noticed there don't seem to be any police here?" Wang Biao said to Zhao Xun, as though he'd made some astonishing discovery. "Look, we've been to who knows how many places since last night, but we haven't seen a single police officer."
"There probably aren't any traffic police," Zhao Xun replied.
Naturally, if even Wang Biao had noticed something, Zhao Xun couldn't possibly have failed to notice it by now.
So far, they hadn't seen a single traffic officer. If this were a normal city, there was no way it wouldn't have any.
