Reaching a deserted corner, Luo Moyun released Metagross and Mimikyu to keep watch, then quietly answered the phone.
"What is it?"
Luo Moyun deliberately lowered his voice, his eyes scanning his surroundings uneasily.
Yuan Wei's voice came through the phone. "Wang Yao escaped. I've taken over the task of hunting him down."
"Escaped? What's he capable of? How could he have escaped from you?"
Luo Moyun was somewhat incensed. What was Team R doing? How could they have let Wang Yao escape?
Could they be deliberately putting on an act for me?
All sorts of thoughts surfaced in Luo Moyun's mind, but he dismissed them one by one.
"If he escaped, he escaped. He's just a small fry, nothing to fear."
Luo Moyun had vaguely guessed the other party's purpose, so he replied with feigned indifference.
Yuan Wei snorted. "Hmph, you think it's that simple? If that were the case, why would I have gone out of my way to contact you?"

Luo Moyun knitted his brows. Why did it feel as though there was something behind those words?
"Before he escaped, he stole a Dark Ball!"
Yuan Wei deliberately stressed his words to make Luo Moyun feel threatened.
"A Dark Ball? The one that supposedly unleashes a Pokémon's full power at the cost of burning through its life, and even has a chance of catching Legendary Pokémon and Mythical Pokémon?"
Hearing this, Luo Moyun immediately lost his composure. Wang Yao was always trying to kill him. If that brat really had stolen a Dark Ball, things would be very bad!
"Yes, that very Dark Ball!"
Yuan Wei did not reveal that the stolen ball was actually defective. Although its effects were still powerful, it would shatter not long after catching a Pokémon.
