Ye Qing recognized the mountain village as the Peach Blossom Spring he had visited in the future and met its village chief, Uncle Wang, in the past. After Uncle Wang began studying Ye Qing’s future Poké Ball, Ye Qing explored the village and met a girl who admired Wang Yao’s photo on his phone.

• Ye Qing entered the thriving Peach Blossom Spring village and followed directions to Uncle Wang’s house.
• Ye Qing showed Uncle Wang a Poké Ball, explained that he came from a thousand years in the future, and recounted his background.
• Uncle Wang accepted Ye Qing’s story and took the Poké Ball to his studio to study it, while Ye Qing waited and looked around the village.
• Ye Qing met a girl whose partner was Drifloon, and she picked up his phone after he dropped it.
• The girl saw Ye Qing’s photo with Wang Yao and praised Wang Yao as handsome, leaving Ye Qing speechless.

Ye Qing realized that he had brought Wang Yao and Wang Yanying together a thousand years ago, then searched for a way to save the dying Celebi. He asked Master Wang to make a Poké Ball capable of catching a Legendary or Mythical Pokémon, and Master Wang revealed the Pokémon that had defeated his earlier attempts.

Wang Jingke told Kyurem that he had found the DNA Splicers, while Ye Qing fought through the Ancient Forest and reached a town with two towers associated with Lugia and Ho-Oh. After seeing a comet that signaled Jirachi’s possible awakening, Ye Qing hurried back to the village, expecting a great battle soon.

• Madam Zhao brought her son to Ye Qing, and the boy behaved like a Growlithe until Gardevoir restrained him.
• Ye Qing identified the boy’s condition as Pokémon reversion syndrome and asked Gardevoir and Milotic to treat him.

• Wang Yanying sang while remembering her mother, and the crystal floated up and awakened Jirachi.

• Mega Gengar exploited Shedinja’s weakness while Infernape knocked Rapidash aside, saving Master Wang from Wang Jingke’s spear.
• Celebi and Jirachi routed the remaining Rapidash, and Volcarona melted Wang Jingke’s spear before Master Wang urged his son to turn back.

Ye Qing and the villagers fought Kyurem, but his overwhelming power froze their Pokémon and killed many villagers. Kyurem demanded his DNA Splicers, and Wang Yanying revealed that she had once given them to Venusaur to play with.

• Infernape, Mega Gengar, Garchomp, and Gardevoir failed to stop Kyurem's Blizzard, while Master Wang's Volcarona was frozen by Kyurem's Ice Beam.
• Kyurem unleashed Glaciate as the villagers fled, and the ice spikes pierced Jirachi and Celebi's barrier, killing or freezing people inside it.

• Kyurem raged after Ye Qing mocked its DNA Splicers, froze Infernape, and pushed the defenders back.
• Ye Qing called to Second Brother through Mew’s Mark, but Mew sensed the summons, dismissed it, and returned to sleep.
• As Kyurem approached, Master Wang discovered Madam Zhao had fled, while Jirachi agreed to help Ye Qing summon Mew.
