Heavenly Lord Shihu, who likewise stared unblinkingly at the phantom image, answered without turning his head:
"Why wouldn't it count?"
Heavenly Lord Shihu explained:
"The Yin Gods of the Wilderness generally fall into three kinds."
"The first are Yin Gods whose intelligence has fallen into chaos, who wander the Wilderness on nothing but the instincts of their divine intent."
"These Yin Gods are the most numerous in the Wilderness. They usually have no fixed form and cannot restrain their own divine power. They attack any being that makes eye contact with them or comes into contact with them through divine soul perception."
"The second are slumbering Yin Gods."
"Most of these Yin Gods have already begun recovering their intelligence. To escape that chaotic, unrestrained state, they choose to fall asleep, controlling ghost servants in their slumber to prepare for their full awakening."
"The third are Yin Gods that have awakened."
"These are extremely rare. Even among hundreds of thousands, there might not be a single one."
"Moreover, as their intelligence gradually awakens, their divine power instead becomes increasingly constrained. Coupled with the severe flaws most have in their intelligence, this actually makes them the weakest of the three kinds."
"Unless they awaken completely, their divine power will remain constrained."
"But these Yin Gods often possess cultivation talent comparable to the Human Race's finest cultivators. They can use human cultivation methods to perfect themselves step by step, eventually escaping the Heavenly Dao Edict's shackles and leaving the Wilderness."
"And the Wolf-Headed Yin God before Xu Taiping could be considered to have relied on an otherworldly evil god to complete the first-and most crucial-step toward full awakening: reshaping its true body."
