Back in the Marvel world, Luo Wen immediately called Sharon.

"Sharon, how's the hiring been going lately?"

"Boss, we've filled all the basic positions. So far, I've only secured one department head—Dr. Helen Cho. She agreed to join Kroll Industries in a week."

Sharon now called Luo Wen "Boss" during work hours.

"Helen Cho agreed to join us? That fast?"

Luo Wen was somewhat surprised. He hadn't expected Sharon to be so efficient.

The resumes he had posted were his top choices for department heads. They were merely "targets"—it would be great if they could recruit them, but it didn't matter if they couldn't.

Yet in just three days, Sharon had already landed one. Her work efficiency was truly impressive.

"Yes, Boss. Through Dr. Helen Cho's connections, I learned that she seemed to have been subjected to workplace bullying at her lab in Seoul. I took advantage of that and easily gained her favor."

"She was being bullied at work in Seoul?"

The corner of Luo Wen's mouth twitched. It sounded a little absurd, yet somehow perfectly reasonable.

"So how did you use that to gain her favor?"

Luo Wen was rather curious.

"I asked an uncle to help me fire those bastards who bullied Dr. Helen Cho."

Sharon said it as naturally as anything.

"Huh?"

Luo Wen was a little stunned. Helen Cho was a doctor—anyone capable of bullying her had to be a major figure in Seoul's scientific community. Sharon had them fired?

Sharon explained, "We have troops stationed on the Korean Peninsula. Uncle Steven is the commander of those forces. He once served as a special operations soldier under my aunt. I know him, so I gave him a call, and he handled it for me."

"..."

The corner of Luo Wen's mouth twitched. He didn't know what to say.

She could summon the commander of the forces stationed on the Korean Peninsula with a single call.

Good grief. Choosing Sharon as CEO had definitely been the right choice.

Peggy Carter had no children, and Sharon was Peggy's only niece. Sharon would be able to fully inherit the network of connections Peggy had left behind.

Peggy had been one of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s founders. The hidden power of her connections was terrifying.

"After I helped Helen vent her anger, I also promised to establish a top-tier laboratory for her and grant her a certain degree of independent research authority. Then she agreed to join Kroll Industries."

Sharon continued.

"Sharon, you've done very well. I'll treat you to a big dinner tonight as a reward."

Luo Wen said with a smile.

"Really? Then I'll have to get off work early."

"Haha, no problem. I'll approve an early departure for you today."

Luo Wen hung up and took a detour to the supermarket to buy some groceries.

Sharon had surely been working very hard these past few days.

She had to coordinate with numerous clients while conducting large-scale recruitment. Even with such a busy schedule, she had made a trip to Seoul and secured Helen Cho.

As her boss, he naturally had to reward Sharon properly.

After buying the groceries, Luo Wen carried a large bag of things back to S.H.I.E.L.D.

Just as he entered the elevator and the doors were about to close, someone suddenly pressed the button and opened them again.

A tall blond man with broad shoulders and a narrow waist stepped inside.

He had a high nose bridge, handsome and upright features, and a slightly stern expression.

Luo Wen raised an eyebrow as he looked at the man entering the elevator.

Wasn't this Captain America, whom he had met a few days ago?

Captain America clearly recognized Luo Wen as well and looked somewhat surprised.

"Captain Rogers, hello. Which floor?"

Seeing Captain America space out slightly, Luo Wen smiled and asked, his hand resting beside the elevator buttons.

"Thirteenth floor, thank you."

"You're welcome." Luo Wen pressed the button for the thirteenth floor, then extended his hand toward Captain America. "Captain, I'm Luo Wen. We met a few days ago."

"Steve Rogers." Captain America shook Luo Wen's hand.

Luo Wen smiled. "Of course I know your name, Captain."

Captain America looked Luo Wen over and noticed the large bag of groceries in his left hand. His expression softened a little.

"You live here?"

"Yes, my sister is a senior S.H.I.E.L.D. agent."

Captain America nodded. He had met Hill a few times over the past several days.

Captain America looked at Luo Wen, seeming like he wanted to say something but not knowing how to begin.

"I'm here, Captain. Want to come to my place for dinner? I happened to buy quite a lot of groceries."

A ding sounded as the elevator doors opened, and Luo Wen invited Captain America.

Captain America shook his head, though a faint smile appeared on his face. "No, maybe next time."

"Alright." Luo Wen nodded without pressing him and walked straight out of the elevator.

Luo Wen was not particularly excited about meeting Captain America.

His physical abilities were no weaker than Captain America's now.

He had only just begun, while Captain America had already reached his limit.

Under those circumstances, it was difficult for him to feel much reverence toward Captain America.

After returning to the apartment, Luo Wen happily washed the vegetables and started cooking.

Cooking was a form of leisure and enjoyment for him.

At around six o'clock, Sharon arrived cheerfully, carrying a khaki handbag.

"Luo Wen, what time is Hill coming back?"

Sharon slipped into her slippers with practiced ease, then came to the kitchen doorway and spoke to Luo Wen.

"Hill went on a business trip with Fury today. She won't be back for dinner tonight, so it'll just be the two of us."

Luo Wen turned back as he answered.

"Huh? Just the two of us?"

Sharon blushed slightly. A flicker of surprise and hesitation passed through her heart, but there was also a small thrill of excitement and anticipation.

Before long, Luo Wen finished cooking.

Looking at the six dishes set on the table, Sharon's mouth fell open.

She had not expected Luo Wen to prepare six dishes for her.

There were only two of them.

For a moment, Sharon felt touched.

Luo Wen took out a bottle of red wine from the wine cabinet.

Fury had specially given him this Lafite a few days ago.

It was to thank him for stopping Captain America.

Fury had said it was from 1982, though Luo Wen had no idea whether that was true.

Luo Wen had not planned to save it anyway.

He would soon be a wealthy man, so there was no need to pinch pennies.

Watching Luo Wen pour her a glass of red wine, Sharon's heart began to pound.

This was her first time having dinner alone with Luo Wen, and the atmosphere was so romantic.

"Come on, Sharon. You've worked hard these past few days."

Luo Wen raised his glass and spoke to Sharon.

"It wasn't hard work."

Sharon smiled brightly and clinked glasses with Luo Wen.

They each took a sip, then ate and chatted at the same time.

"Sharon, have you set up the basic framework for the energy department yet?"

"I recruited a professor who researches new energy, along with more than ten recent university graduates. There shouldn't be any problem setting up the framework."

"Good. You've done very well. I've had a new idea lately—I want to establish a New Energy Vehicle company."

Luo Wen took a sip of wine and spoke to Sharon.

"A New Energy Vehicle company?" Sharon was somewhat surprised. She did not understand why Luo Wen suddenly wanted to get into that.

The Kroll Alloy business clearly had far more potential than New Energy Vehicles.

Seeing Sharon's expression, Luo Wen smiled. He picked up his laptop from beside him, opened it, and placed it in front of Sharon.

"Because I've cracked Solid-state battery technology."

Sharon looked stunned, her eyes widening as she carefully examined the information on Luo Wen's laptop.
