Qin Xiao countered Dugu Bo's words with a question.
Dugu Bo actually found himself at a loss for words.
"Five million Gold Soul Coins. I'll give them to you once I've scraped together enough."
This was no small sum. Even Dugu Bo needed time to gather it.
"If you're in no hurry, I'm in even less of one."
Qin Xiao spoke indifferently. He wasn't short of money anyway. "From now on, I'll leave this place in your care. If anything comes up, look for me at Blue Tyrant Academy. I'll be staying there for now."
Qin Xiao remembered that, in the original storyline, the people from Shrek had gone to Blue Tyrant Academy after leaving Heaven Dou Royal Academy. He was certain the next quest would very likely appear there.
"All right." Dugu Bo nodded at his words.
Then he and Dugu Yan watched Qin Xiao leave.
"Ah, who would've thought I was the biggest sucker of all?"
Looking again at the medicinal garden that had once belonged to him, Dugu Bo felt a jumble of emotions.
In other words, he had been guarding a mountain of treasure without even knowing it...
"Grandpa, look on the bright side. Whatever else happened, the Jade Phosphor Snake Poison is under control now, isn't it?"
"Aren't your life and mine worth more than this field of herbs?"
Seeing Dugu Bo's gloomy expression, Dugu Yan tried to comfort him.
"You're right about that, but the thought of spending my own money to buy my own herbs still stings."
After saying that, Dugu Bo couldn't help sighing. "Ah, forget it. I'll get used to it. Yanyan, wait here for me. I'll head back to Heaven Dou City and find you a Soul Bone."
"All
