Su Ling stayed in the Separate Courtyard. Someone brought him lunch at noon, and after he had waited until around three or four in the afternoon, the old village chief, Qian Taiduo, finally returned.
"Su Ling, come with me. The God of Wealth wishes to see you," Qian Taiduo said, getting straight to the point.
"He wants to see me?"
"Take me to him," Su Ling said.
"Follow me." Qian Taiduo led the way, with Su Ling following behind. Neither said much along the way, until they reached a cave on the Back Hill.
The light inside the cave was rather dim. Qian Taiduo said, "We'll be there once we pass through this cave."
"All right!" Su Ling replied. The cave looked ordinary, with nothing particularly special about it. Only after walking more than five hundred meters did he see light ahead.
The light seemed to gather into a curtain before them. Passing through it, Su Ling felt as though he had entered a new world.
This seemed to be an independent space, somewhat similar to Slaughter City.
"Su Ling, these are our Inheritance Grounds. This independent space is three thousand meters long and roughly eighteen hundred meters wide, but its height is limited to just over three hundred meters."
The surroundings before Su Ling were quite pleasant. The air was fresh, and the arrangement of mountains and water carried a distinctive artistic charm.
Compared with the space that housed Slaughter City, the two environments were as different as heaven and earth.
"Su Ling, the core of the Inheritance Grounds is over there. Please follow me," Qian Taiduo said again.
When Su Ling stepped forward, he noticed that the road seemed to be pale gold.
