Background / History

Qian Renxue possessed exceptional innate talent, but chose political infiltration over uninterrupted cultivation. Before entering the Heaven Dou Empire, she considered establishing a power base in the Far North. She rejected that approach because unifying the region would require substantial investment, whereas replacing the crown prince appeared to offer a cheaper route to controlling Heaven Dou 30 139.

She killed the real Xue Qinghe more than ten years before revealing her identity to Su Ling and impersonated him thereafter. A soul-bone ability maintained her disguise. Behind her public role, she retained support from the Worship Hall commanded by her grandfather, whose forces she regarded as superior in quality to Bibi Dong’s 98 101 158.

The mission consumed much of her youth and delayed her cultivation. She eventually regretted choosing it, but felt she had invested too much to abandon the disguise before achieving her goal 139 159.

Personality

Qian Renxue is calculating and attentive to talented people. As Xue Qinghe, she cultivates a reputation for courtesy, recruits promising Soul Masters, and uses personal favors to secure loyalty. Her sworn brotherhood with Su Ling initially serves this purpose: she believes his attachment to friends and family will make him dependable when she needs support 34 97 98 100.

She is highly cautious about exposing her identity. She refuses opportunities that could compromise her disguise, verifies an unfamiliar herb against her grandfather’s books before consuming it, and uses private locations or voice transmission for sensitive conversations 94 98 119 229.

Her pride in her talent makes falling behind Su Ling and his companions difficult to accept. Ning Rongrong becomes a particular point of comparison, motivating her to pursue stronger soul rings and insist that she can endure their absorption 97 234 235.

The crown prince’s persona is also emotionally exhausting. She must treat disliked people with impeccable courtesy and can acknowledge her true appearance only in private. Recruiting Su Ling

Qian Renxue first notices Su Ling’s unusual strength while watching his arena match against Feng Yu’er. His black fourth soul ring particularly interests her, but he refuses the invitation to her private box. Their first formal introduction later occurs through Ning Fengzhi 34 56.

She invites him to an imperial banquet, where Ge Feng collapses after drinking. Qian Renxue orders the guests to remain while the incident is investigated; Su Ling revives Ge Feng and warns her that the wine may have been tampered with to frame them 76.

Sworn Brotherhood and Growing Trust

During the Spirit City crisis, Qian Renxue avoids revealing her hidden strength, but afterward uses imperial forces to assist Shrek’s escape. She then proposes sworn brotherhood as a stronger means of securing Su Ling’s loyalty 94 95 97.

Their ceremony formalizes his Divine Arrow Marquis title, and she gives him a separate courtyard within the Crown Prince’s Residence. Their private discussion of Spirit Hall and his family’s destruction brings her affection to the binding threshold 100 101.

She later intervenes when Star Luo Soul Masters attempt to take Zhu Zhuqing, Zhu Zhuxin, and Jiang Zhu. Su Ling rescues the group, reinforcing her conviction that his support is essential to her plans 118.

Revealing Her Identity

Before Su Ling leaves for Sea God Island, Qian Renxue meets him outside Heaven Dou City and voluntarily reveals her true identity. She admits to killing and replacing Xue Qinghe, then accepts “Sister Xue’er” as his private name for her 158 159.

She also gives him a booklet naming surviving participants in the Water Moon clan’s destruction. Su Ling accepts her despite her connection to Spirit Hall and warns her not to underestimate Xue Beng 159.

Emperor Qinghe and the Rebellion

After Xue Beng escapes, Qian Renxue orders Xue Ye’s death. Public reports blame Xue Beng and Xue Xing, allowing her to ascend as Emperor Qinghe. She immediately orders their apprehension and promotes Su Ling to Divine Arrow King 166 167.

Taking the throne changes her ambitions. Rather than weaken Heaven Dou for an eventual Spirit Hall takeover, she begins considering whether she—not Bibi Dong—could rule the unified continent 172.

Xue Beng’s forces nevertheless hold the Los Duchy, with Dugu Bo’s poison preventing a decisive imperial victory. After more than a hundred battles, Qian Renxue asks the returning Su Ling to capture Xue Beng and neutralize Dugu Bo. His success breaks the stalemate, allowing her army to advance and resolve the internal rebellion 208 210 213.

Angel God Inheritance

Su Ling helps Qian Renxue overcome the cultivation delays caused by ruling Heaven Dou. His external soul bone, high-age soul rings, bodily strengthening materials, and system-triggered martial-soul evolution bring her to level ninety-nine 229 234 235.

Her grandfather finds a sufficiently convincing substitute to continue impersonating Xue Qinghe. Qian Renxue plans to train him before returning to Spirit Hall, preserving her control of Heaven Dou while pursuing the Angel inheritance 236.

She successfully becomes the Twelve-Winged Angel God. When her grandfather dies during the inheritance, Su Ling revives him. Qian Renxue then protects Su Ling from Bibi Dong, prompting Bibi Dong to abandon their feud for her sake 236.
