The scum he referred to were naturally the unconscious Zhou Yi and the assassins from the White Tiger Duke's Mansion whom Yu Tao had beaten to within an inch of their lives.
Huo Yuhao chuckled, a gleam flashing through his eyes.
"I have an idea. One that'll kill two birds with one stone."
"A bunch of useless trash. All they had to do was kill a Soul Grandmaster. Why is it taking so long?"
At the entrance to Shrek Academy, Dai Huabin pretended to chat with his classmates while anxiously awaiting word from the mansion's assassins.
If Huo Yuhao was assassinated, Dai Huabin would naturally fall under heavy suspicion because of their conflict. That was why he was making an appearance among his classmates now: to secure a perfect alibi and prove that Huo Yuhao's death had nothing to do with him.
"Dai Huabin, someone's looking for you at the academy entrance!"
Suddenly, a classmate walked over from nearby and spoke to Dai Huabin.
Dai Huabin's heart leaped with joy at the news. He said goodbye to the classmates beside him, then hurried toward Shrek Academy's entrance.
It was still daytime, and there were no vendors outside the East Gate, only a few academy guards responsible for receiving visitors.
Dai Huabin walked straight out of the East Gate and glanced to the side. He immediately spotted the Soul Emperor from the White Tiger Duke's Mansion standing beneath an inconspicuous tree.
After clearing his throat twice, Dai Huabin walked beneath the tree and lowered his voice. "Did you succeed?"
"We did!" The Soul Emperor nodded. "Second Young Master, Huo
