"A Yue has already left," Xue Qinghe said softly.
"Already left?" Xue Ke lowered her gaze slightly. "It seems she's still angry about what happened before..."

Guang Ling sat on the sofa, quietly listening to the two people talking outside. Perhaps he was so absorbed in their conversation that he failed to notice Qian Renyue waking up.
Having barely slept all night, Qian Renyue felt rather out of sorts. Turning her head, she happened to see Guang Ling sitting on the sofa, listening intently to the conversation outside. She blinked, slowly sat up, and stretched. "A Ling, if you want to listen, you can go outside and do it openly."
"Yue'er."
Hearing Qian Renyue's voice, Guang Ling immediately turned toward her. He stood, walked over, and sat beside her with a smile. "Yue'er, I don't want to hear them talk. I want to hear you."
He leaned closer to Qian Renyue. Remembering that she had yet to wash up, she reached out and gently pushed his face away. "Well, you can hear me now, can't you? Let me wash up first!"
With that, she stood on the bed, preparing to step over Guang Ling and get down.
But Guang Ling had no intention of letting her get out of bed so easily. He caught hold of Qian Renyue and pulled her onto his lap, making her sit astride him.
Qian Renyue's eyes widened, and a faint blush rose to her cheeks. She tried to stand, only for Guang Ling to press her back down. "Yue'er, I have something to tell you."
"What?" Qian Renyue's heartbeat suddenly quickened. She did not know how to describe the sensation, only that it made her body tremble slightly.
