"Die!" Abyss Douluo roared, his voice shaking the air like a tangible force. His enormous skeletal hand blotted out the sky, wreathed in an eerie black glow, as it slammed down on Long Aotian with pressure that threatened to destroy heaven and earth.
The air compressed in an instant, letting out a piercing shriek. Sand and stones on the ground scattered like bullets under the powerful blast of air.
Long Aotian had no time to dodge and took the terrifying blow head-on. He coughed up blood, his body hurtling backward like a kite with its string cut, leaving a long trail of blood through the air.
He crashed heavily into a distant mountainside, the tremendous impact gouging a massive crater into it. Even so, Long Aotian stubbornly struggled to his feet, blood still clinging to his lips as he cursed, "Fuck, you damned old bastard... come at me again if you've got the guts!"
At the sight, Qian Fan's heart burned with anxiety, as though a fire had ignited inside him. His eyes instantly became bloodshot, and he drew the Shadow Battle Axe without hesitation, its runes flickering with an eerie light.
He drew a deep breath and summoned all his soul power. A powerful aura erupted from his body, and eight dazzling Soul Rings instantly appeared behind him. Their interwoven light bathed his figure, making him look like a god of war.
Meanwhile, Su Tian also understood the danger they faced. A glimmer of resolve flashed through his eyes as he prepared for one final, desperate attempt.
He shouted, "Seventh Soul Skill: Martial Soul Avatar!" His Xuanwu martial soul soared out of his body, and a dark green barrier swiftly rose. Mysterious patterns shimmered across it, as though they contained endless power.
Like a city wall, the barrier sought to hold back Abyss Douluo's terrifying attack.
Yet their resistance did not make Abyss Douluo hesitate in the slightest. A cold sneer curled his lips as he muttered a string of cryptic, mysterious incantations.
As he chanted, the black currents surrounding him surged like a tide, pouring furiously into his skeletal hand. Already enormous, the hand grew even larger and more terrifying under their power, while foul-smelling black liquid dripped from its nails.
Long Aotian and Su Tian did everything they could to resist that immense force, gritting their teeth as veins bulged on their faces. Long Aotian gripped his spear with both hands, bracing its tip against the edge of the skeletal hand in an attempt to push it away; Su Tian focused entirely on maintaining the dark green barrier, sweat covering his forehead.
Still, they felt an unbearable pressure gradually eating away at them, as though a pair of invisible hands were crushing their bodies little by little.
The once-impenetrable dark green barrier began to crack beneath the skeletal hand's crushing weight. Fractures spread rapidly like a spiderweb, multiplying with a series of sharp cracks.
Finally, with a deafening crash, the barrier shattered completely.
The powerful energy shock wave sent Long Aotian and Su Tian flying. Both suffered severe soul power backlash and spat out mouthfuls of blood before collapsing helplessly to the ground, unconscious.
Abyss Douluo looked down coldly at the two of them, a smug smile curling his lips, filled with contempt and mockery. Then he turned toward Qian Fan, icy light flashing in his eyes as he said disdainfully, "Little brat, your turn. You think you can resist me? You're nothing but a mantis raising its arms against a chariot!"
"Hahahahaha!" Qian Fan threw back his head and laughed, his laughter brimming with defiance and confidence. He stared fixedly at Abyss Douluo, his eyes full of unwavering resolve, and declared, "Old bastard, you think this is enough to defeat me? I've been waiting for those two to pass out! This was a setup from the very beginning!"
Qian Fan's words briefly stunned Abyss Douluo, leaving a trace of confusion on his face. But he quickly regained his earlier arrogance. "Hmph. At death's door, and you're still talking tough!"
Qian Fan drew a deep breath and raised his left hand slightly. A powerful surge of soul power rose from his body, followed by a black fallen angel martial soul appearing behind him. Its pitch-black wings spread wide, releasing an evil, powerful aura that chilled the surrounding air.
At the same time, he unhesitatingly summoned his Zeus martial soul with his right hand. Powerful lightning coiled around his body, crackling arcs flashing ceaselessly and illuminating his resolute face.
The instant Abyss Douluo saw the Zeus martial soul, shock spread across his face. His pupils contracted sharply, and the soul power throughout his body suddenly fell into chaos, as though suppressed by an invisible force. He exclaimed in disbelief, "This... how is this possible!"
Qian Fan roared, "Self-Martial Soul Fusion Skill, Requiem of the Dead!" As his words rang out, his fallen angel martial soul and Zeus martial soul began slowly merging.
Two completely different powers collided furiously around his body, producing dazzling light and a fierce energy storm.
A pitch-black radiance erupted from his body, illuminating the entire battlefield. Within it, a colossal figure gradually emerged-a powerful being formed from the fusion of the fallen angel and Zeus.
The figure stood dozens of meters tall, radiating a terrifying aura like a demon from hell.
He bore the fallen angel's enormous black wings, with ghostly blue flames burning across them; his head, however, resembled Zeus's, and majestic lightning flashed in his eyes.
The power of Requiem of the Dead warped the surrounding space. Every living creature on the battlefield felt an irresistible pressure, and even the distant mountains trembled faintly beneath it.
Qian Fan stood at the center of the colossal figure, his gaze as sharp as lightning, locked firmly on Abyss Douluo.
The towering dark figure held a sharp sword aloft, its blade condensed from lightning and darkness, radiating a heart-stopping glow. The sword energy gathering along it alone left Abyss Douluo's enormous skeletal hand on the verge of collapse, its runes beginning to dim.
Fear filled Abyss Douluo's eyes, and disbelief was written all over his face. Even his voice began to tremble. "Impossible! You're merely a level 80 Soul Douluo! How could you possess such terrifying power!"
Qian Fan did not answer. Instead, he commanded the dark figure to slash its sword at Abyss Douluo.
Abyss Douluo hastily raised his skeletal hand to defend himself, muttering incantations in an attempt to strengthen its defenses.
But the sword energy, imbued with the fusion skill's power, easily pierced his defenses and struck his body with devastating force.
Abyss Douluo screamed in agony and staggered several steps backward.
His clothes were torn, his body covered in wounds from which blood flowed ceaselessly.
He stared at Qian Fan, despair and resentment in his eyes. "You... you actually... I'm a level 99 peak expert! How could I lose to you!"
Qian Fan commanded the dark figure to advance step by step, its immense pressure leaving Abyss Douluo unable to breathe. Finally, beneath that overwhelming might, Abyss Douluo was forced to his knees.
In a flash, Qian Fan appeared before Abyss Douluo, seized him by the throat, and lifted him straight off the ground. He said coldly, "Submit or die! Those are your only choices!"
Abyss Douluo struggled, a flicker of resentment flashing through his eyes, but before Qian Fan's immense power, his resistance was utterly feeble.
At last, Abyss Douluo, who had once stood at the height of glory, bowed his head to Qian Fan, a man nineteen levels below him. His voice was filled with helplessness and surrender. "I... I submit..."
Qian Fan withdrew his martial souls, and the enormous dark figure gradually dissipated. He let out a breath of relief, his body somewhat weakened by the excessive expenditure of soul power.
He slowly walked over to Long Aotian and Su Tian, crouched down, and helped them up, saying softly, "Don't worry. It's all over..."
Just then, a violent wave of dizziness struck. Qian Fan's head reeled, and his body pitched forward uncontrollably.
He had thought he would fall to the ground, but instead, he unexpectedly landed on something soft.
