What big undertaking?
For some reason, Xiao Yan felt that her smile carried a hint of danger.
"You don't need to worry about what it is. Come meet my teacher first."
Hun Miaomiao smiled faintly. An iron chain darted out behind her like a long snake and wrapped itself around Xiao Yan.
"Who's your teacher...?"
Before Xiao Yan could finish, Hun Miaomiao took him with her and stepped into space.
When Xiao Yan felt the space before him open up again, he had already arrived in a mysterious gorge with Hun Miaomiao.
A long river of magma flowed through the gorge, and the violent fire energy within it made Xiao Yan feel rather constrained.
But his gaze was not on the river of magma. Instead, he looked at the black-clad woman beside it.
She was none other than Xiao Shaobei's longtime lover, the Hun Clan's Saint Daughter, Hun Xue.
"Senior!"
Xiao Yan nodded at Hun Xue with a smile that never reached his eyes, then turned toward Hun Miaomiao, a questioning look in his eyes.
Hun Miaomiao paid it no mind at all, merely watching Xiao Yan with a bright smile.
Still, it made sense. Hun Xue was an old Saint Daughter of the Hun Clan, while Hun Miaomiao was the clan's First Generation disciple. It hardly seemed impossible for her to have become Hun Xue's disciple.
"Mm." Hun Xue smiled and nodded at Xiao Yan. With a downward point of her finger, the surrounding energy gathered on its own into a table and three chairs.
"Sit."
Hun Xue gestured to Xiao Yan, and he stood on no ceremony, sitting straight down.
He was very eager to learn just what medicine these Hun Clan leaders were hiding in their gourds. They had captured him but neither killed nor beaten him.
