Time passed again. Three days later, the first lotus leaf finally emerged above the magma's surface. It was enormous, spanning dozens of zhang, with strange vein-like patterns running across it. Its entire surface was radiant and translucent, like a beautiful sheet of colored glass.
Yet despite the leaf's crystalline beauty, the radiant flames hovering over it made their hearts quail.
Even before merging with Xiao Yan's Emperor Flame, the World-Purifying True Flame had already been powerful enough to make Immortal Grade Heavenly Sovereigns wary and force Saint Grade Heavenly Supremes to tread carefully. Now that it had absorbed his Emperor Flame, its terrifying might had risen another level.
Even Qing Yanjing could clearly sense all manner of terrifying fluctuations within the World-Purifying True Flame, including those of the Void Annihilation Flame she had seen before.
"Wh-what is going on?"
Qing Yanjing stared blankly at the lotus leaf before her. Although she could vaguely sense a trace of Xiao Yan's aura upon it, she could not understand why. Was this the World-Purifying True Flame, or was it Xiao Yan?
"I don't know either."
The Fire Spirit Ancestor gently shook his head, then pointed in another direction. "Look over there. Another lotus leaf is about to emerge!"
Qing Yanjing followed his finger and saw another tiny, pointed tip slowly rising from beneath the Magma Ocean.
