Bathed in a brilliant halo, a majestic palace shimmered with a faint golden glow. This was the highest point in the Divine Realm: the God Realm Committee.
The palace's main hall was octagonal. Every wall surrounding it was golden, with countless scenes shifting and flickering across them. Each golden screen of light represented a world on a different planet in the mortal realm.
This was also where the God Realm Committee monitored the Douluo Continent.
A round table stood in the center of the hall. No one could tell what material its surface was made from. Looking closely, one could actually see mist drifting within it, like an endlessly deep tunnel through time.
At that moment, five people sat around the table.
At the head sat a red-haired middle-aged man. His proud, aloof eyes seemed unfocused, their depths brimming with murderous intent. His ear studs glowed blood-red, and an icy aura surrounded him, making people sense danger even from far away.
The two people seated to his left wore black and white robes respectively. The one in black was a middle-aged man, while the one in white was a middle-aged woman. They appeared to be husband and wife.
Across from them, to the red-haired man's right, sat another man and woman. The man's features were impossible to make out, for a large purple cloak covered his head completely.
Only two pulsing points of red light could faintly be seen within the purple cloak, seemingly carrying an unfathomably deep, terrifying aura.
The woman beside him radiated an aura completely opposite to his. Her jade-green dress brimmed with the rich breath of life, and a faint smile always graced her face. Though she was not as stunning as the white-robed woman opposite her, she possessed a vitality that made
