At the start of the school year, because of Ms. Pulitzer's report, Zheng Qing had discussed with Xiao Xiao whether language possessed objectivity and could describe something in a completely neutral manner.

The outcome of that discussion was Xiao Xiao's creation of the concept of "Mechanical Language," which had troubled Zheng Qing for quite some time. Coupled with the rising and falling verbal conflicts around campus, there had been several days when all kinds of chaotic thoughts kept flashing through his mind, leaving him deeply disappointed in this prejudice-filled world.

Fortunately, his heavy coursework and "ample" extracurricular work saved Zheng Qing, allowing him to drag himself free of those unbearably pointless thoughts. He had originally believed it had all passed, but during Magic Script Class in the fourth week of school, Professor Emma unexpectedly touched upon the subject again while teaching.

As in the previous semester, Magic Script Class was still scheduled for Tuesday afternoons in Room 202 of the teaching building.

The instructor was still that stern old woman, Professor Emma.

At the very beginning of class, Professor Emma repeated what Old Yao had said during the first Magic Spell Class of the new term: "If Talisman Studies is a wizard's analysis of the World Origin, and Divination Studies is a wizard's analysis of dimensions and the River of Time, then Magic Script Studies is a wizard's analysis of intelligence and consciousness."

Listening to these familiar remarks, Zheng Qing hesitated with the Quill Pen in hand over his notebook for a long while before deciding to copy them down again—he felt that since these professors repeated those few lines so often, they must contain some profound meaning. No matter whether they proved useful or not, writing them down and memorizing them could not possibly be wrong.
