She only remembered that her home was a very warm, large house, with tall beeches outside, a spacious little playground, soft green lawns, golden sunlight, and wizard uncles and aunties, older brothers and sisters in all kinds of robes.
She raised her head and glanced at the sky through gaps in the oak Tree's leaves.
The sunlight here was pale and cold. The sun had only just risen, and a few stars could still be seen blinking in the sky—yet in the brief moment Little Witch spent looking up, she saw those stars go out one after another, as though blown out by the wind.
