The sky was dusky yellow.
The atmosphere outside the foothills was somewhat oppressive.
The ogre hunters formed a loose battle formation.
No—instead of calling it a battle formation, it was more accurate to say they were surging forward in a swarm around the Two-headed Ogre. There were no hidden magic circuits linking their feet together, nor any invigorating magic aura filling the air. All there was were their hearts pounding hard within their chests, pumping out streams of searing blood.
Several hundred meters from the camp, this loose "battle formation" began to slowly pick up speed.
In the nearby ogre camp, the smoke from the explosion had already dispersed under the breeze, revealing the battered camp gate and the still peaceful yet busy camp. Compared to before, however, the "ogres" that had originally been working around the tents now moved like marionettes, every motion stiff and disordered. From a distance, they looked like a frame-skipping image.
Even the dullest ogre realized what had happened.
The ogre warriors dragged their heavy clubs along, howling roars no one could understand. They slashed their cheeks open with filthy nails and smeared the blood across their foreheads.
"ORGE! ORGE!"
They crowded around the Two-headed Ogre leader, shouting at the tops of their lungs. Their running strides grew longer and longer, their heavy feet stamping deep prints into the soft grass. Their crisscrossing footsteps were as dense as rain. There were only a dozen or so ogres, yet they somehow ran with the momentum of a vast army.
"Prepare Chaos Spell!" the captain of the You Zui Hunter Team shouted.
"Chaos Spell ready," the Diviner holding the Crystal Ball immediately replied.
"Prepare Weak Leg Spell!" the wizard confirmed again.
"Weak Leg Spell ready!" the two witches, one older and one younger, answered in unison.
