They might have been frightened away by the commotion caused by the Zhen Water Earthworm Battle Formation, but more likely, they were hiding behind some bushes, coldly watching the activity outside.

The enormous azure crow spread its claws and pounced viciously at the Zhen Water Earthworm like a hunting hawk. With a flick of its tail feathers, a string of azure fireballs rained down, smashing against the outside of the Zhen Water Earthworm Battle Formation and sending its deep-blue Mana Cocoon rippling violently, vaguely revealing the wizards within.
"Nicholas?"
Dylan, with the keenest eyesight thanks to his Werewolf and Blood Clan lineage, immediately caught sight of a face exposed through a fleeting gap in the Zhen Water Earthworm Mana Cocoon. "It's the Edge Hunting Team!"
"Those things that look like crows aren't right." Xiao Xiao raised his head, carefully studying the vicious azure birds with deeply furrowed brows. "I can't identify their species."
His words immediately made the other four hunters of the Youzui Hunting Team look up in unison.
