Zheng Qing reached out and grabbed the horns of the black goat before him. It stared with those innocent wide eyes, utterly still, making him think of Asmodeus at last night's Seven Deadly Sins meeting.
Except this was not the Seven Deadly Sins' meeting room, and this black goat was nothing more than an ordinary goat.
At that moment, he was in an Edict Studies class.
It was the second class on Saturday morning. Since this class time had been squeezed out through Time Conversion, Zheng Qing was already getting hungry by the time it was nearly over.
But with about half an hour left before class ended, the professor sprang a test on them, requiring every student to write an edict and make the goat in front of them dance the samba before they could pass.
And so the above standoff came about.
The black goat assigned to Zheng Qing was very unruly. It kept stretching out its tongue to lick the talisman stuck to its forehead, forcing Zheng Qing to physically subdue the restless goat after failing twice in a row.
"Stop licking it... or I'll have roast goat for lunch!" he warned through gritted teeth, a large mouthful of saliva welling up uncontrollably in his mouth.

He naturally swallowed it. That instinctive action instinctively frightened the restless little goat, and together with the powerful restraint pressing down on its head, it finally made the creature settle down.
With his freed hand, Zheng Qing hastily wrote, "...by Mister's edict," at the end of the new edict. Students outside Atlas Academy were especially flexible about such things. They did not deliberately seek out a particular deity as the edict's master; a name was merely a designation. As long as someone was willing to answer and empower the edict,
