Far away from Thomas's secret laboratory, Hilda Tang Alfonso muttered those words under her breath as well.
She stood at the foot of the boys' dormitory hill, exhausted from head to toe, her eyes lifeless.
It was the sort of state every wage slave forced to work overtime on weekends would find themselves in. But the one who had made her curse was not the person assigning her tasks—she did not have the nerve for that. Hilda's seven words were aimed at the tall, skinny wizard who had suddenly appeared before her.
Hilda knew this guy. His name was Qian Doudou, and like her, he was a member of the Zheng Qing Guard Squad. However, Qian Doudou was the captain of another squad, and his main post was at the Professor Joint Conference office.
"Your id card, please."
The tall, skinny wizard blocked Hilda's path with a stern expression. He held a clipboard in his arms, a spellbook hung at his waist, and a neatly trimmed Quill Pen hovered upright above the clipboard, as if it intended to record even Hilda's filler words.
"Move. I'm exhausted right now."
Hilda yawned and weakly shook her head.
She had just gone to the boys' dormitory to replace the alarm Talisman Board in Dormitory 403 with a brand-new one. At the same time, she had adjusted the positions of the bronze mirrors hanging beneath the boys' ceiling, finding a more suitable spot for detection.
