This was a technical term in Clone Transformation, referring to its first stage.
Learning and mastering Clone Transformation involved three stages: Primary Assimilation, Intermediate Synchronization, and Advanced Spirit Splitting. At the primary stage, a wizard could already perform basic Clone Transformation and control a tangible Avatar outside their original body. However, that control came with considerable limitations. For example, the Avatar could only be maintained for a limited time; it could not move too far from the original body; and, because of insufficient soul strength, proficiency, or other factors, the Avatar and the original body could not remain awake simultaneously.
