An uninvited guest arrived outside the Crowley Family's old house, which had been abandoned for over a century.
Wrapped in a heavy fur-collared cloak and wearing a pale Ghost Face Mask, he moved like a phantom through the Night Veil and shadows before finally stopping before the old house's towering black iron gate.
Clang, clang, clang!
The visitor tugged on the bell hanging from the gate. Its piercing chime echoed beyond the iron gate, waking the Devil Grass sleeping atop the walls and the Three-headed Dog dozing in the courtyard. Several points of faint light lit up deep within the house.
There was no questioning, nor any password.
The heavy iron gate simply creaked as it slowly opened.
Beyond the gate lay a dim world. Deep within the estate stood several Wizard Towers of varying heights, with pitch-black buildings scattered among them. Winding stone corridors linked towers and buildings together, while low stone walls occasionally separated them.
The stone walls and corridors were covered in pitted spell marks. Moss had grown in many of the craters, proving that fierce battles had taken place here long ago.
The wizard in the Ghost Face Mask quietly made his way through them. On some intact columns and wall bricks, he could still see sentences from old Crowley's Book of Law:
—People praise fools, because they and their gods are all fools.
—The pain of falling apart is not worth mentioning. Only the joy of merging with all things is everything.
—Come out, children, and enjoy your love beneath the Starry Sky!
Just as he saw the last sentence, a faint rustling suddenly began to sound from every direction, like the voice of Taotie before spring silkworms climbed the mountain.
