White Bear raised its head to look at the narrow rift, a fierce warning gleaming in its eyes.
A terrifying sound!
Though it didn't know what had happened, instincts from its depths as an Archwizard and from its bloodline told it that danger had arrived. It wasn't a simple collapse of the ice field or some other natural disaster, but something greater and deadlier.
Compared to White Bear, Terribull saw much more.
Its gaze pierced through the thick ice and howling snowstorm, crossed the boundless ice field, and fell on two black dots. The larger one was a fierce beast that looked part tiger, part leopard, walking silently with its head lowered; the smaller was a wizard wrapped in a white cloak, his face hidden beneath a broad hood. Terribull's pupils suddenly contracted.
The moment it realized what that word meant, the hood tipped upward, revealing a refined young face that bared its teeth at it in a grin.
Against the endless ice field, those white teeth radiated a bone-chilling cold.
Boom!
The bronze Pocket Watch hanging in midair crashed heavily into the surging black river, throwing up waterfall-like spray with an earth-shaking roar.
Before White Bear could complain, the sounds of the ice field twisting and warping overhead became
