"—Are you sure no one is guarding it?"
Wiland's voice was somewhat hoarse.
Reason told him that before the Main Quest was completed, any distraction was suicide; but desire told him that risks and rewards were proportional. Like sitting down at a gambling table, as long as one was prepared to lose everything, there was a chance to gain even more.
After surviving in the Reincarnation Space for so long, those naive fools who wanted everything to be safe and tried to scrape by on risk-free missions had long since been drained dry by the space, becoming nourishment for the growth of those who came after them.
Every veteran who had survived was an ambitious, fanatical gambler, best at turning both their own lives and the lives of others into chips and shoving them all onto the dealer's table in a single bet.
There was no secure happiness in the Main God Space.
Only ever-approaching death.
Lilith smiled faintly, clearly having anticipated her captain's struggle.
"—Absolutely certain. I wandered around the ship all afternoon and didn't even see a crab. You know my divine sense is fairly sharp. There are some Earthbound Spirits on the ship that have lost their minds, probably former crew members... but I couldn't get anything out of them... I believe some important figure is definitely watching this ship. A Tier 4 powerhouse isn't a nobody even in this world, much less a Tier 4 Creation... But I also believe we don't have no chance of stealing this ship..."
"Steal it?"
Hearing that the Blood Moon Witch did not intend to seize it by force, Wiland inexplicably felt a small measure of relief. Then he frowned, growing more curious about the method of "stealing" she had in mind.
Lilith turned her gaze toward the astrologer, Irene.
