She noticed nothing, still looking around in what she considered a vigilant manner as she surveyed the retreat route Lady Lilith had previously confirmed. Only when the blade pierced through her robe and inner vest, raising goosebumps across her skin, did she realize what was happening and let out a short scream.
But that scream lasted only half a second before abruptly cutting off.
Because at the instant the blade touched her skin, a familiar, indifferent voice suddenly rang out beside her ear.
