After seeing off the last guest from Linzhong Lake,
Zhu Si held a piece of dried dragon meat in her mouth—snacks Poseidon had shared with her—humming a little tune as she tidied the materials on her desk and pondered what to eat that evening.

The Cherry Blossom Tavern was a little too quiet. Those North District wizards treated dining at the Great Sage's tavern like some sacred ritual; even having a drink there felt like taking medicine. D&K's advantage was its abundant and varied snacks, while its downside was that those two Rat People wanted to throw themselves flat on the ground to demonstrate their loyalty every time they saw her, which made her terribly embarrassed in front of outsiders. Qingqiu Mansion was quite nice—not overly formal, yet not too noisy either. There was plenty of good food, and Su Ya, Little Fox, and the Great Sprites to play with. The only problem was that she didn't know whether Su Shijun was home.
Ever since that Little Fox and the three Great Sprites had "conspired" in her office earlier, she had inexplicably felt a little guilty around that Upper Councilor.
She pulled a jade-green Feather Pen, its ink long dried up, from the lecture notes for Overview of the Dreamscape.
She had already made up her mind not to risk going to Qingqiu Mansion. She would go to Wander Bar later!
Perhaps Wander Bar was the only place on all of Buji Island where she could find some unexpected new curiosities.
Just as she was pondering, a huge hand suddenly reached out from thin air, seized her as though she were a chick, and with a whoosh, yanked her out of her office.
