Like the other mountain ranges in the Xuanhuang Small World, this one had no vegetation or wildlife. Yet unlike the others, its mudstone was a yellowish-brown, as though it had been soaked in blood. Even from afar, it gave off a gloomy, ominous feeling.
The entire mountain range also ran in an extremely unnatural formation.
The mountains had collapsed, and their middle section seemed to have been brutally snapped and twisted by an invisible Giant Hand, creating vast stretches of cliffs and sheer precipices. The steep fractured surfaces interlocked like canine teeth, still bearing clearly visible traces of enormous tearing. The sight was chilling, as though one could feel the terrifying force that had once "broken" the mountain range's bones.
Hermione rode the little Furry Dragon transformed from her bracelet, cautiously circling downward through the air as she carefully observed this area marked in the mission briefing as a "suspected Dragon Monster nest."
Compared with most of the lifeless regions of the Xuanhuang Small World, the Earth Qi here was abnormally active.
Nearly tangible yellowish-brown Wu Earth aura continuously erupted from cracks and cliffs throughout the range like countless miniature fountains. Rather than dispersing obediently, those auras tangled together like great yellow earthen pythons and Flood Dragons. Amid them came the cracking sounds of mountain rock tearing and shattering from deep within the cliffs, along with waves of dry, scorching winds roaring up through the fissures, carrying a stifling presence.
From time to time, one or two especially condensed streams of silver-white Spiritual Essence flashed through the mottled, chaotic yellowish-brown Wu light like little silver fish.
Whenever a silver fish flashed by, the
