Ragdoll Fox's worries were unnecessary.
After years of experience, the Great Sprites knew how to face a world in the throes of violent change. As soon as Yan Hua's Blue Bird brought its warning, they released swarms of Elves around their camps to investigate.
The Great Sprites had evolved from Elves.
That gave them a natural, almost uncanny control over Elves, much like the Blood Clan over bats, Werewolves over dogs, Treants over Tree, Fishmen over fish, and other Magical Lifeforms over their own kind. "They're up to no good!"
Zheng Sushuang recited the new idiom she had learned and instinctively glanced left, then right. Like Zheng Suyi, she was sitting beside the Wizard Tower's Magic Pool with her eyes closed, directing an army of Elves to investigate. The glances were nothing more than reflex.
Part of her worried about the other two Great Sprites' camps. Another part wanted to hear what the other sisters on the hunting team
