Dylan sat leaning back inside a large black coffin.
He held a glass of bright red liquid.

He drank in great mouthfuls, without a trace of his usual elegance and composure as an Under the Moon Aristocrat, looking for all the world like someone dying of thirst. Even after downing glass after glass, his face remained as white as snow.

Before the Xuanhuang Wood, the Magic Array that summoned death had already been erased. The little red grasses around it had also turned back into blood energy and returned to Dylan's body. But because these grasses had all "died once," fewer than one in ten had successfully converted back. Most had become impure energy instead.
This had severely depleted the Vampire Werewolf's vitality.
Fortunately, they were not far from the Central Base. Blue Sparrow soon brought back a batch of Magic Potions to replenish his blood energy, and Xiao Xiao performed a blessing ceremony for him as well.
