When Li Meng sprang up from the ground, the cats of all sizes that had been gathered around her scattered with a whoosh, vanishing into the surrounding evergreen shrubs in the blink of an eye.
Only a few larger cats that thought highly of themselves remained. Even so, they all arched their backs, raised their tails, puffed up their fur, and let out threatening growls from their throats as they warily watched Li Meng.
This formed a stark contrast to how the surrounding cats had turned a blind eye when that Norwegian Forest Cat robbed the short-haired cat, making the already furious Little Witch even angrier.
"It's the bad guy!" The Little Witch pointed at the big cat with one hand and fearlessly took two steps forward. She looked around at the cats with hunched backs and arched waists, shouting, "Why are you glaring at me instead of going after it?!"
"You should unite and take down this robber! Otherwise, it'll keep stealing your dried fish!"
"Pfft..." The black cat lying on a branch could not help snickering, nearly laughing aloud.
Of course, to conceal his identity, he forcibly swallowed the laugh back down. It made him sound as though a clump of fur had gotten stuck in his throat, extremely strange.
