A white figure shot out of the bushes with a whoosh and tore across the thick snow.
It was a white weasel.
Its slender body was covered in thick, pure-white fur, its fluffy tail swinging from side to side like a nimble rudder, guiding its direction.
Its round little ears lay flat against either side of its head, giving it a unique streamlined shape that kept the currents in the air from causing it the slightest resistance.
Yet compared with its elegant, pristine appearance, the white weasel's gaze was far from calm.
Even as it fled, its two round eyes kept darting about involuntarily. It looked panicked, as though searching for something—or afraid of something.
