A ringing whale cry rose from the sea. The Giant Kun's form manifested, growing rapidly, growing without end, until it resembled an entire continent, with nothing above its head but the boundless blue sky.
Atop its head rested the white World Seed.
It seemed curious, too, wondering what this thing was and whether it could eat it.
The World Seed slowly split open. Roots and a stem grew from within, bringing their own pool of clear spring water, until finally, it became a flower.
It was unlike any flower seen in the real world. A hibiscus came closest, but it had more leaves and far more dazzling colors, beyond anything words could describe.
Once formed, it, too, grew rapidly, soon raising an enormous "umbrella" over the Giant Kun's head. Its stem reached straight to the zenith, scattering brilliant radiance.
"You have begun the Second Stage of evolution, but do you know its ultimate goal?"
A humanoid figure of light formed from that brilliant radiance and floated down until it was level with Ren Tao. With a stirring of Divine Sense, it posed a soundless question.
"Returning to oneself, to an innately perfect form?"
One look at the Giant Kun made that clear. It had already completed the Second Stage, but beyond that stage, it would eventually become an enormous cosmic creature. That seemed a very clear direction for its development.
