A sinister gleam of triumph flashed through the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King's enormous lone eye. His secret Devour technique was followed immediately by a wide-ranging energy attack. His massive tail surged up behind him, churning the sea as a vast blaze of blue-purple light erupted behind his mountain-like body.

Boom!

An enormous whirlpool swept the surrounding Evil Spirit Orcas and Demon Soul Great White Sharks away in an instant. Then a dreamlike blue flash tore through the air, threads of blue lightning ripping through it with a string of explosive cracks.

As a million-year soul beast, the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King possessed strength far beyond the Evil Orca King's. Whether in instantaneous speed, explosive power, or control over the ocean's might, none of the Shrek Seven Devils, at least as they were now, could withstand his attacks.

Moreover, the Demon Soul Great White Sharks and Tang San's group had exhausted themselves fighting the Evil Spirit Orcas. The Deep Sea Demonic Whale King's sudden ambush caught everyone completely off guard.

Amid the thunderous roar and waves crashing down from every direction, the figures in midair tumbled away. Ning Rongrong, who had been standing farther back to enhance Xiao Bai, was also swept away by the surging water and vanished without a trace.

"It's the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King! Everyone, fall back!"

At that critical moment, Tang San activated the Vast Sea Cosmic Shroud's Cosmic Demon-Breaking skill again. He first dismantled the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King's energy attack, then followed it with Invincible Golden Body. Tumbling through the air, he decisively chose to retreat.

Farther back, Ma Hongjun transformed into a Fire Phoenix and grabbed Dai Mubai and Zhu Zhuqing. Oscar had reacted quickly, swallowing a Flying Sausage and taking to the air long before. He was shouting loudly as he searched for Rongrong.

"Trying to run? It won't be that easy! Boy, since the Sea God chose you, I can't let you live either. Let me devour you and break through the final barrier to godhood!"

The Deep Sea Demonic Whale King was brimming with satisfaction. Having finally seized this opportunity, he had no intention of letting a single person or beast before him escape.

Even as he spoke aloud, he had finished gathering his power. His body turned, stirring up gusts of wind and thunder.

"You think flying into the sky will let you escape my attacks? Ridiculous!"

As he moved, deep blue light rose from the sea below. Vast quantities of moisture condensed in midair into oppressive black clouds that blanketed the surrounding waters, as though night had fallen.

Nine bolts of lightning as thick as water vats descended from the sky, striking the sea almost instantaneously!

Splash! Splash! Splash!

Cries of alarm, crashing waves, roaring thunder, and the sounds of lightning striking the whales and sharks rang out at once. Intense blue-purple light engulfed the entire area, turning this stretch of heaven and earth into an endless thunder zone.

Several minutes later, Tang San rose from the sea, his entire body charred black. His face bore the terrified look of someone who had narrowly escaped death.

"Rongrong, Zhu Zhuqing, are you all right?"

Oscar and the others also surfaced. Everywhere they looked, corpses floated on the water. This stretch of sea had become a Blood Domain.

The bodies of Demon Soul Great White Sharks and Evil Spirit Orcas were everywhere, rolling belly-up on the waves.

The Deep Sea Demonic Whale King's lightning assault had killed at least twenty to thirty Demon Soul Great White Sharks, and even more Evil Spirit Orcas.

"So that's the strength of a million-year soul beast? Terrifying!"

Dai Mubai still trembled with lingering fear, his face deathly pale. He had not yet recovered the soul power consumed by the Hell White Tiger before suffering another heavy blow. Now he was utterly drained.

"But he just retreated like that? Why?"

Rongrong looked at Tang San in disbelief. She thought he had used another secret technique to drive the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King away.

"I don't know either." Tang San's expression shifted uncertainly. Within the range of his spiritual senses, the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King was swimming rapidly into the distance. There was no doubt he had retreated, but Tang San could not understand why the Demon Whale King was leaving in such a hurry.

"Xiao Bai, send two of your kin to follow him from a distance. Something seems wrong with the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King."

A suspicion was beginning to form in Tang San's mind. He still could not let go of the loss of the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Spring earlier. Could it be the Evil Orca King...

Elsewhere, the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King fled in haste. With his full power driving him onward, his speed was no slower than that of a Demon Soul Great White Shark.

A closer look, however, revealed something distinctly strange about his movements. His enormous, two-hundred-meter-long body shimmered with a profound radiance like blue crystal. Occasional streaks of lightning flashed across him, making his body shine as brightly as a Glowing Jellyfish.

Along with those broad flashes of light, his body convulsed violently, as though he were enduring some terrible pain.

"Evil Tiger, stop struggling. Your body may be tough, but now that I've devoured you, you'll soon dissolve into pus. There's no chance you'll survive!"

The Deep Sea Demonic Whale King let out a tremendous, resonant hum, as though speaking to someone.

But that voice remained within his own domain. Nothing outside could hear it.

"Heh, heh." A faint voice emerged from the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King's belly, so muffled it was almost inaudible. Yet as those words sounded, the flashes across his body actually subsided. "You betrayed your comrade like this. Even if I die, I won't let you have an easy time of it. Have we left Tang San and the others behind now?"

Hmm?

Light flickered several times in the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King's enormous eye. Although he did not fear the Evil Orca King's dying counterattack, the struggle had caused him unbearable pain. If not for the disturbance inside him preventing him from using his full strength, he would have wiped out Tang San and the others earlier.

Now that Evil Tiger's tone seemed to be softening, had he exhausted his strength?

But attacks like these were not enough to kill a million-year soul beast. Instead, Ren Tao himself would soon run out of strength and be completely ground away by the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King.

So Ren Tao was gambling with his own life. This time, only one of them could survive, and his stake was the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Spring in his hand.

Then, as though mountains were collapsing and the sea overturning, an enormous body crashed into the water amid billowing white smoke and icy dust, sending towering waves surging into the sky.
