Old Soldier cut off the head of Tony from the Blood Cross Universe, and Brad kept his promise, giving him the chance to become a Superpowered Person.
Old Soldier stood silently inside a sealed glass Observation Room. A glass jar containing a cloned symbiote was delivered to his side through the Spatial Teleporter.
This cloned symbiote had been created from a fragment of Venom's genes from Earth-616. It had never been contaminated by a host, and its newborn consciousness was as pristine as a blank sheet of paper. Old Soldier would be its first master.
The black, fluid creature slowly extended two tentacles, tentatively resting them against the inside of the glass jar's lid.
Countless pores invisible to the naked eye opened in its fluid structure. The friction they provided then gave it extraordinary adhesion.
Next, the symbiote slowly exerted force, twisting the glass lid open.
"Although it's a blank slate, its capacity for independent thought is extremely high. Almost as soon as it comes into contact with the outside world, it can develop its intelligence by collecting information."
Old Soldier watched the black liquid writhe and crawl out of the jar. Then, like some young animal, it waved its raised tentacles from side to side, seemingly enjoying the air.
Half a second later, the symbiote paused, like someone freezing for an instant after suddenly spotting something unfamiliar.
Through the pheromones in the air, the symbiote discovered Old Soldier's presence.
Its parasitic instincts made it unconsciously move its entire body the instant it detected him. It crawled out of the glass jar, dripped onto the floor bit by bit, then slowly gathered itself into a mass again.
In this bizarre fashion, it kept moving toward Old Soldier.
Watching the symbiote, Old Soldier remembered the Agent Venom from another universe whom
