On Earth-65, Spider-Gwen looked in surprise at Peter and Miles Morales as they leaped out of a portal through spacetime. Gwen Stacy's life was a mess, so seeing other Spider-Men again certainly cheered her up.
But two Spider-Men showing up at once??
Surely that meant something big was about to happen.
"Gwen, do you remember the Master Weaver?"
Although there was a little unresolved romantic tension between Miles Morales and Spider-Gwen, Peter Parker stood beside them, frantic over his memory problem. Miles Morales was in no mood to joke with Gwen Stacy either, so he got straight to the point.
"The Master Weaver?"
Gwen Stacy repeated the name, her expression suddenly darkening.
She, too, remembered those dark days fighting the Inheritors, when the Spider-Army assembled from Spider-Men across multiple universes had suffered devastating casualties.
Among them was the death of their fellow spider heroine, Silk, also known as Cindy. Jessica, the spider heroine in the red-and-yellow suit, had become a "bride" to infiltrate the Inheritors, uncover their secrets, and relay crucial information.
The Inheritors were nothing but beasts wearing human skin. What Jessica had endured among them during that time went without saying.
How could Gwen Stacy easily forget the sacrifices of so many of her comrades?!
"Why are you asking?"
Gwen Stacy stared at Miles Morales with a grim expression, but her mask concealed it, so he only heard the agitation in her voice. That was perfectly normal. Remembering that ordeal unsettled him, too.
"Because Peter says he doesn't remember."
Miles Morales thought that was a perfectly ordinary explanation. He never imagined that Gwen Stacy would lash out the instant she heard it. Smack!
The slap rang out, so forceful that Peter's masked face snapped to one side.

Miles Morales's eyes went wide beneath his mask as
