In the Mutants Universe, the War Horseman, who had replaced Apocalypse as ruler of the world, looked out over the world submerged in a silver-gray "sea" and suddenly let out a long sigh.
Although the War Horseman shared thoughts and memories with his main body, Brad, and knew that this seemingly apocalyptic scene would not actually harm the world, the sight was too horrific. The mutants and humans who knew nothing about this substance kept crying out in terror.
"No world could possibly understand an act like this. To avoid unnecessary misunderstandings and conflict, we should let them travel to the new world without knowing anything."
As the silver-gray substance completely swallowed the world, the War Horseman left the Mutants Universe for the first time and arrived in the Home Universe, where Brad was.
Inside an independent laboratory funded by HYDRA, Brad was instructing Faust to place a genetic extract into the Separator.
Brad sensed the War Horseman's arrival.
"From now on, you won't have to worry about the safety of the entire Mutants Universe anymore."
The War Horseman neither agreed nor disagreed with Brad's reassurance. Instead, he watched Faust, who was sweating profusely as he monitored the Separator. His sensitivity to genes instantly told him which species the genetic extract inside it had come from.
