Nie Li's late arrival displeased several people.
"Hmph, who do you think you are, making Young Master Chen wait for you?"
"What? Young Master Chen said it was fine. What more do you want?"
With swords drawn and bows strung, Chen Linjian hurriedly spoke up.
"It's fine. We're all on the same side. Don't spoil the harmony."
Only with Chen Linjian's mediation did the matter end.
"All right, Brother Nie Li, let's set off."
"Sure."
Chen Linjian called out.
"Everyone, prepare to set off!"
The group set out for the ruins. Nie Li and Chen Linjian walked at the front, chatting now and then, but a closer look would have revealed Nie Li's gaze drifting repeatedly toward the rear, where Ye Ziyun was. He had spotted her the moment he arrived and wanted to go over to her, but she was laughing and chatting with the people beside her. Since he still wasn't well acquainted with her, he stayed away.
What Nie Li failed to notice was someone glaring viciously at him from the back of the group: Shen Yue. Watching Nie Li, Shen Yue realized he still had anger to vent with nowhere to direct it, so he decided to stir up trouble for him.
He sent a lackey over, who approached Nie Li.
"Hey, kid, you're pretty cocky. How strong are you?"
"I want to spar with you."
Nie Li looked at him, then at Shen Yue at the back of the group.
"Sure."
"Let Young Master Chen be the judge."
"All right, but stop short of hurting each other."
The two began to spar. To be fair, the man was at least a Bronze Rank Demon Spirit master, but he was still trash before Nie Li. Nie Li had long since broken through to Bronze Rank, and
