Beiming Xue was crouching in the courtyard with Shennong Beast and Ten Directions Bright, building a snowman. They had rolled the snowballs perfectly round and were just about to put its head on when a boisterous figure came charging over. "Little sister! Let me join in!" Beiming Lei barreled toward them, reaching out to snatch the snowball. Without even raising her head, Beiming Xue lifted her foot and delivered a precise kick. Beiming Lei shot through the air in a perfect arc with a whoosh, then landed face-first in the snow and got a mouthful of it.
Just then, Beiming Zheng pushed open the door and came outside. He looked at his son sprawled in the snow, then at his daughter calmly brushing snowflakes off her hands, and asked helplessly, "Xue, what happened to your brother...?"
"Oh, him?" Beiming Xue looked up with a perfectly straight face, though a smile played at her lips. "He said he wanted to experience flying. I was just kind enough to give him a hand."
Lying in the snow, Beiming Lei spat out the snow in his mouth and rolled his eyes in fury. "..."
After speaking, Beiming Xue's gaze drifted unconsciously toward the distant, unbroken range of snowy mountains, a trace of melancholy creeping into her eyes. Shennong Beast understood her better than anyone and
